About the course:

This module provides an introduction to academic writing in English for all science & engineering students. It takes a style/genre approach, by looking at aspects such as:

  • academic writing for the Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering
  • using sources
  • report writing
  • essay writing

The materials were written to help students gain greater understanding of academic writing style as a core running through a number of academic writing genres.
