Alex Linighan
Learning Design & Curriculum Development Adviser
In my role as Learning Design & Curriculum Development Advisor within the Learning and Teaching Development Service (LTDS), I focus on supporting academic units to deliver a high-quality student learning experience through engagement in innovative teaching, learning and assessment strategies and approaches.
As my work impacts the quality of teaching and learning that undergraduate students receive, I am very conscious of ensuring a strong pedagogic rationale behind all design or structural decisions made, to guarantee that they receive the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in their future careers.
I have previous experience of website and content creation to compliment an engaging outreach programme established to inspire young students to choose Geospatial Engineering degrees at Newcastle University (GeospatialUK.org).
I have recently achieved Fellow of Higher Education (FHEA).
