Biomedical, Nutritional and Sports Sciences

You can apply to up to five exchange programmes. Some countries are more popular than others, so try to select alternative options from different countries. Some partner universities have limited places, often one or two, so use all five of your application choices and be prepared not to get your first choice.

We keep our exchange partner information as up to date as possible, but sometimes changes happen at short notice. 

It's important that you research the universities you're interested in. Don’t rule out locations you may not have heard of - there are some hidden gems on our lists.

How to apply

Biomedical

When Biomedical Sciences students can study abroad

Biomedical Sciences BSc students can:

• study at one of our exchange partner institutions or at our NUMed Malaysia campus for a full academic year, after Stage 2 (this will make your degree one year longer)
• study for one semester at one of our exchange partners, in either Semester 1 or Semester 2 of Stage 2
• study at Monash University for Semester 2 of Stage 2

Biochemistry BSc, Biomedical Genetics BSc and Pharmacology BSc students can study at one of our exchange partner institutions for:

• a full academic year, after Stage 3 – this can be split across two locations and will make your degree one year longer
• a summer research placement
