Teaching Rationale And Relationship

Teaching sessions will include Clinical skills sessions, interprofessional education and experiential placements.

Clinical skills sessions will provide students with the opportunity to develop their physical assessment skills across the cardiovascular system. Communication and consultation skills sessions will challenge the student to recognize the wide range of patient needs arising from backgrounds, demographics and physical and mental conditions and require students to develop appropriate approaches to care that are inclusive and culturally competent.

Students will undertake compulsory experiential placements throughout the term. The compulsory experiential placement will also provide students with the opportunity to perform skills or tasks independently in a clinical environment to continuously develop their confidence in their clinical knowledge, skills, competencies and professional decision making.

Coursework with submission dates after the Winter vacation will either be submitted at an earlier date or at the same time remotely. The assessment format will not normally vary from the original to ensure learning outcomes are met. Any changes to the original format must meet module learning outcomes and be approved by the school.
