Exploring work and life abroad

Alumni insights from across the globe

In a world shaped by shifting economies, evolving technologies and changing cultural landscapes, understanding how to navigate life and work across borders has never been more important.

As part of this year’s NCL in Action programme, we’re offering students and recent graduates the chance to hear directly from Newcastle alumni living and working inLondon and the United States. Our panels will explore how global shifts are influencing professional environments - and how you can prepare to thrive within them.

During these webinars, you’ll gain:

  • Insights into working cultures across different regions and sectors
  • Insights into what employers are looking for
  • Practical advice on relocation, accommodation and everyday living
  • Tips on how to build your network, including how to tap into the global Newcastle alumni community

Whether you're considering an international move or simply curious about global career paths, these sessions will help you navigate the rifts and shifts of our changing world with confidence.

60-minute career insight sessions

Following on from these webinars, you will have the opportunity to sign up to 60-minute career insight sessions where you can ask one of our panellists more in-depth questions.

Please note that spaces for the 60-minute career insight sessions are limited, so we may not be able to accommodate all requests.
