Climate change is reshaping our planet, but it’s also reshaping our inner lives.
Join our webinar with Mark Freeston, Professor of Clinical Psychology, to explore the fast-growing phenomenon of climate and eco-distress — the chronic fear, grief, and uncertainty triggered by our awareness of a warming world.
While extreme weather and ecological loss dominate headlines, the psychological toll remains largely unspoken.
About Professor Mark Freeston
Mark is a clinical researcher at Newcastle University whose current work focuses on extreme weather, climate and eco‑distress, and embedding the climate and eco‑emergency into clinical psychology and CBT training.
His research examines the psychological impacts of extreme weather, barriers to pro‑environmental behaviour among neurodivergent people, and moral distress in occupations heavily exposed to climate‑related weather events.
