Presentation title - Animal Research: Time To Talk.

Kirk Leech is the Executive Director of the European Animal Research Association (EARA). EARA is a global communications and advocacy organisation representing public and private biomedical institutions in close to fifty countries. EARA provides a platform for informing the public about animal research, its benefits and limitations.

Previously, Kirk worked in government affairs at the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry. Before that, he was a consultant at the White House Writers Group, a Washington DC strategic communications consultancy founded by former US Presidential speechwriters. Earlier in his career he worked in India on tribal rights advocacy.

EARA is a strong proponent of transparency and openness in animal research, encouraging institutions across Europe and beyond to communicate more proactively with the public
