Visiting Speaker Programme

The Visiting Speaker Programme (VSP) combines talks, seminars and tutorials from a wide selection of artists, curators and researchers.

The programme takes place once a week in the Fine Art Lecture Theatre, with listings posted on the Fine Art Community board's VSP noticeboard.

Each year there are new themes explored by our visiting speakers. Past themes have included Ecological Thinking, Critical Media and AI, Thinking-Through-Making and Wellbeing.

Visiting speakers talk about their creative practice, but also how and why they work the way they do.

Our students gain insights into creative methods, realising commissions, funding, collaboration and many other aspects of being a creative practitioner.

A cross-year, student-led seminar also takes place after the talk. When possible, one to one tutorials are offered.
