Three members of CRE - Professor Mark Shucksmith, Dr Menelaos Gkartzios and PhD student Ian Merrell travelled to Iceland for the Nordic Ruralities Conference in Akureyri, Northern Iceland.  It was an inspiring experience in terms of both academic discussion and landscape, as Ian recounts in our CRE blog.
