Dr Dehong Huo joined School of Mechanical and Systems Engineering of Newcastle University in 2011 (became part of newly formed School of Engineering from 1st August). He was based in Singapore campus before he came back to Newcastle in 2013. Previously he worked at Bath and Brunel Universities, where he performed research under a number of EPSRC and FP7 projects in developing precision machine tools and innovative manufacturing processes. Currently his work in precision manufacturing is focused on developing micro machining processes and hybrid machining processes for hard and brittle materials.
