The Funding Council Specified independent audit of the Law School's teaching and the learning environment, known as Internal Subject Review, has just taken place. The team spent two days meeting staff, students and a large group of external stakeholders and have presented a preliminary report showing that the Law School has improved on the very high level of provision identified in the last audit in 2003.
The Head of the Law School, Mr. Ashley Wilton, announcing the result of the Preliminary Report said " I am delighted that the ISR team have recognised the high quality of our provision to help all of our students get the best opportunities to learn and to achieve. It is particularly gratifying to see so many practices identified as exemplary or good. I take special pleasure in the recognition of the quality and commitment of our staff, including secretarial, library and careers support staff, in ensuring that the student experience at Newcastle is outstanding. This audit result echoes our success over the last four years in the National Student Satisfaction Survey and I am proud to be able to say that, once more, our efforts over a number of years to achieve this high quality environment has been recognised."
