The school currently runs a range of very successful taught Masters degrees, contributes to other cross-disciplinary programmes and also runs research degrees.

You will acquire valuable transferable skills for your future career - our graduates have a good record of finding employment within the law profession, international organisations, non-governmental organisation, international corporations and businesses and in university teaching and research.

Newcastle Law School is one of the leading research based law schools in the UK. The latest national Research Assessment Exercise published in December 2008 showed 85% of Newcastle Law School's research reached international standards of quality. This standard reflects both the intellectual achievements of its staff, as well as the vigour of its collective research ethos.

As expected of such a research-active environment, many of the school's staff and postgraduates participate in multi-discipline University Research Centres:
