Dr. Orkun Akseli has recently been awarded funding by the Modern Law Review for the purpose of organising a one-day Conference entitled 'The World Bank and the Modern Law Review Conference on International Legal Standards on Secured Transactions, Facilitation of Credit and Financial Crisis'. The Conference is also generously supported by the World Bank.
This prestigious and competitive award, as well as the generous support of the World Bank, will enable the development of academic and practical debate on how international legal standards on secured transactions may facilitate credit in the face of financial crisis.
The Conference will be held on Friday 14th May 2010 at the state-of-the-art facilities of Research Beehive, Newcastle University. There is no fee to attend this conference.
