Introduction

Ashley Wilton has been a staff member of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne since 1973. He has held the offices of Dean of Law,(Founding )Director of the Newcastle School of Business Management ( now the University of Newcastle upon Tyne Business School), and the Dean of Law, Environmental and Social Sciences.He was Head of Newcastle Law school from 2001 to 2010.
He has served several terms on Senate and Council.
