Dr Deming Liu joined Newcastle in 2006. He was the Careers Liaison Officer (2007 – 2011) and Stage 1 Year Tutor (2008 – 2011). He currently serves as marketing officer for the Law School and sits on the Internationalisation Steering Group of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Newcastle University.
Dr Liu specialises in intellectual property law and international trade law. He teaches contract law and copyright law. Dr Liu writes about copyright, patent and international trade and has published in fine journals such as the American Review of International Arbitration (Columbia Law School), American Journal of Comparative Law, European Intellectual Property Review, Journal of World Intellectual Property, Nanotechnology Law and Business, John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law, Chinese Journal of International Law, and many others.
