Entrance Requirements

Entrance Requirements: AAA (A Level)

Our undergraduate intake are some of the brightest students in the United Kingdom, with our standard offer being grades of AAA at A level. These grades can be achieved in any subject, except for General Studies. If you are studying the International Baccalaureate our standard entry requirement is a minimum of 34 points in the IB Diploma, with three subjects at Higher Level grade 6 or above. For other qualifications, please consult this equivalency table.

However, grades are not everything. We carefully assess all aspects of your application and try to build up a picture of you as an individual before we make our decisions. References and predicted grades are important, but so too is what you say about yourself in your UCAS personal statement - especially your interest and motivations for pursuing a law degree.

We don't expect you to show knowledge of the law, but we do look for:

  • Intelligence
  • A lively interest in issues connected with the law
  • The ability to think logically and use language carefully

We don't ordinarily interview applicants, but if we make you an offer we will invite you to an Open Day, when you can meet us and look around the school.
