Shear Wave Elastography (SWE)

Shear Wave Elastography (SWE)

The PIVI facility is equipped with a clinical-grade Ultrasound based Shear Wave Elastography (SWE) system. SWE is a non-invasive medical imaging technique employed to evaluate the stiffness or elasticity of tissues. This method offers valuable insights into tissue characteristics, proving particularly effective in assessing tissue fibrosis and other abnormalities in soft tissues.

Applications

  • Shear Wave Elastography
    • Tissue Fibrosis
    • Doppler / Colour imaging
      • Fluid Motion – Velocity  & Direction
      • 2D B-Mode Anatomical  Imaging
