Background

Roles and Responsibilities:

Student Recruitment & Outreach Administrator for The School of Arts and Cultures

  • I am the lead contact for all outreach initiatives and internal event planning for MCH, Music and Fine Art in SACS.
  • My role involves coordinating Open Days, Offer Holder Days, Interview Days and other internal events throughout SACS. Additionally, I deliver outreach to schools, colleges and partnered hubs around the North East and the UK.
  • I also develop strategic outreach plans for SACS that supports the University's overall goals regarding Widening Participation and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.


Background:

  • I've worked as a freelance sports journalist and have work in: The Times, The Sunday Times, Bauer Media, Snack Media and local papers.
  • Media Intern for South Shields' International Academy as well as assisting with International recruitment of athletes.
  • Podcast contributor to @tfNUFC.


Qualifications:

  • First Class degree in Journalism, Media and Culture (BA) at Newcastle University.
  • A-Levels in English Literature, English Language and Media (Kenton Sixth Form).
