The UPAY App is your digital companion for eating on campus. It lets you pay for food and drink quickly and securely across all university cafés. But it’s more than just a payment app — it gives you access to exclusive discounts, loyalty rewards, and offers to help your budget go further.
How do I use the UPAY app?
Using the UPAY app is simple:
- Open the UPAY App at the café till
- Tap the QR code icon (top or bottom right corner)
- Show your code to the staff to scan
- Done! Your payment goes through, and you earn points instantly
You’ll also get notified of any deals you can use — so keep an eye out!
How do I register?
You’ll be saving those pennies in no time as setting up your UPAY account is simple:
- Download the UPAY App from your app store (Apple or Android).
- Register using your Student ID — it's how we link your account.
- Once you’re signed in, you’ll have the option to receive marketing and push notifications. These are occasional and tailored — usually limited-time discounts and offers just for students.

Where can I use it?
There are twelve cafés dotted all around campus, serving a range of hot and cold food, drinks and snacks. Your UPAY app can be used to purchase any item from any of these cafés.
Café Promotions
There are rolling promotions and offers that are available in our cafés all year round. We also run seasonal promotions on a monthly basis so keep an eye out for information about these in cafés and on our website and UPAY app.
June offer
Refreshing iced-coffee now being served at: Bites, Business School Café, Catalyst, Daysh, Robinson Library, The Grand, Walton Library.
Available selection of syrups: Vanilla, Caramel, Hazelnut, Pumpkin spice, Gingerbread and Chocolate.
Early Bird offer
Upgrade any regular hot drink (or iced coffee) to a large for just 50p, before 10am.
Our early bird offer is availabe in the following cafes:
