UKRI's Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF) supports a large variety of knowledge exchange activities between industry and higher education.

The National Centre for Universities and Business has produced a new video which showcases how the HEIF has facilitated innovation activities at three different universities: Goldsmiths University of London, University of Birmingham, and us at Newcastle University.

In particular, the HEIF has enabled a new role within the work at CESI to help continue communication between researchers and industry. The new Business Development Manager role will play a crucial role as part of the InTEGReL project working with Newcastle University, Northern Gas Network and Northern Powergrid.
