About the course:
This course introduces the core academic practices required at the initial stage of doctoral study. It examines the expectations of research at doctoral level and introduces principles of critical and evaluative writing. Students will develop strategies for conducting effective literature searches and for engaging with academic texts in preparation for writing. The course also offers structured guidance on the preparation of the project approval submission, establishing a foundation for subsequent stages of the doctoral programme.
