About the course:

Taking a genre approach, this course provides insights into how to produce academic and business texts that meet the requirements of their intended audience.

The course:

  • begins by establishing the general requirements of academic writing at a postgraduate level
  • moves on to the specific requirements of important business text types
  • provides further instructions on important individual skills needed to construct academic and business texts.

Students are given the opportunity to practice and apply these skills to their own assignments during and after class.
