Discover internships and volunteering opportunities

We have reviewed and partnered with external organisations to ensure you have a great range of programmes to choose from - ranging from volunteering to international internships. Each provider offers something different, so you’ll need to do your research to ensure that it’s the right option for you.

  • gaining a new perspective on your academic subject, or trying something completely new

What to expect

These global experiences are often ‘packaged’. This means that accommodation, in-country transport, excursions and some meals are included in the price. Make sure to check exactly what's included and what you will need to organise yourself. The duration of the trips vary from a few days to a few weeks.

How to apply

  • Do your research. Be sure to check the schedule, location and duration
  • Consider how you will fund your trip - research the scholarships available and review your own finances
  • Find out more. Attend a partner information session or contact the GO team  
  • Apply. You must apply directly to the individual partner for your place on a programme. Each opportunity has a different application process and deadline date so make sure you're aware of the requirements
  • Confirm your place. All students must register participation on Terra Dotta, our online placement management system.

It was one of the most eye-opening and amazing things that I have ever done. To fully immerse myself in a new culture by trying new foods, new sports and meeting all the amazing locals is something I am so fortunate that I had the opportunity to do.
