Who we are

With over 30 years at Newcastle University, we're tackling the challenges facing art curation, heritage and museum sites worldwide.

Teaching and research are at the heart of what we do. So whether you’re looking to break into the sector, skill-up, or want to explore - we have an option that’s right for you.

We offer three taught postgraduate programmes:

Ruth Museum Studies MA, PGDip student

Structured for success

You can study each programme as an MA or PGDip. You can also study part-time (over 2 years) or full-time (1 year).

We've designed our programmes to give you the skills, experience, and connections needed to succeed within the sector.

Our programmes include:

  • soft skills training
  • access to our global network of professionals that's over 30 years in the making
  • a dedicated career support and training programme

Postgraduate funding and scholarships

Postgraduate scholarships, prizes, and bursaries are often available to UK, EU, and international students.

Some of these are University-wide and subject to eligibility, whereas others are subject-specific.
