Introduction

I am the Senior Manager (Infrastructure & Information Management) at Newcastle University in Singapore, with responsibility for both IT services and office facilities across the University’s Singapore operations. In addition, I serve as the Newcastle University in Singapore Safety Officer, supporting the development, implementation, and oversight of health and safety governance.

I support infrastructure and operations across two sites, NewRIIS at WeWork Beach Centre and NUInternational Singapore at the SIT Punggol Campus. I began my career with Newcastle University in 2005 as an IT apprentice within the School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, and have since progressed through a range of roles across various schools and institutes within the University.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead IT and information management services in Singapore
• Oversight of office facilities, workplace operations, and third-party service providers
• Responsibility for AV, telephony, networking, managed desktops, and core digital services
• Governance of health and safety arrangements, acting as the University’s Singapore Safety Officer
• Development and maintenance of policies, and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements
• Stakeholder engagement with academic, professional services, and external partners to support teaching, research, and business continuity
