Presentation title: AI in Academic and Clinical Research.

The subject of AI has become a highly talked-about area over the last few years. But much of what is in the media is a poor reflection of what is actually happening in Research and Clinical research in particular. In this talk I shall aim to give a better understanding of what AI is, what it can actually do, how it works (without any equations!) and how it can help within Clinical Research.

Stephen McGough is a Reader in Machine Learning one of the core areas of AI. As well as researching at the cutting edge of Deep Learning Stephen also focuses on the wider implications of AI and how it this will impact both academic research and the wider community.
