Calling all Newcastle University alumni based in France!
The United Kingdom Alumni Network (UKAN) in France is an informal network that provides events for France-based graduates of universities from the British Isles. They host monthly social events in Paris on the fourth Thursday of each month, providing an opportunity for you to catch up with alumni in a casual and friendly environment.
You are invited to a picnic in Parc Monceau (17ème) on Thursday 27 June from 6:30pm.This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow Newcastle University graduates, as well as forge new connections with graduates from other UK institutions.
We aim to set up a picnic area on the main lawn on the right of the main entrance. This is the big lawn nearest to the children’s playground (you are welcome to bring your children along with you). We will have a British flag displayed so that you can find us easily! Please bring a drink and/or some snacks to share with the group.
The park itself has a kiosk and toilets on site. From May to August the park is open until 10pm at night. In case of rain, we will find a nearby café to shelter.
Useful travel information: the nearest metro stops are Monceau/Courcelles (line 2) and Villiers (lines 2 and 3). The park is also well served by numerous buses and has a few shops nearby for snack and drink purchases.
