A mini festival of Darwin films, held at the Tyneside Cinema with introductions and Q&A from members of the Centre for Behaviour and Evolution, plus an Evolution Quiz night.

2009 Darwin biopic with Paul Bettany as Darwin: "CREATION is the powerful and true-life tale of Charles Darwin and the most explosive idea in history" (taken from official website, where a more detailed synopsis follows).

"Inherit the Wind"
1960 film with Spencer Tracy, which tells an account of the 1925 Tennessee 'Monkey Trial' of John Scopes, prosecuted for teaching evolution in school. Intro and Q&A with John Lazarus.

Evolution Quiz
Following the success of the CBE's Darwin Birthday Quiz in February, we organised another pub-style quiz on evolution, Darwin and natural history at the Tyneside Cinema bar. Prizes were available for all.
