Darwin Festival 2009
2009 marked both the Bicentennial Anniversary of Darwin’s birth, and the 150th anniversary of the publication of ‘On the Origin of Species’. To celebrate these historic events, Centre members organised a number of different events, alongside and in partnership with events organised by members of the Newcastle Centre for Literary Arts and the Great North Museum.
