- British Trust for Ornithology’s garden feeder watch programme
- Vacation scholarships, enabling 6th formers to carry out research with us
- Speaking to groups with scientific interests
National and International Activities
Melissa Bateson and Fiona Hall MEP on the Royal Society MEP-Scientist pairing scheme
- IgNobel prize winners and UK IgNobel Tour in 2008
- UK and European science festivals
- Royal Society MEP-Scientist pairing scheme, in which scientists visit the EU in Brussels and MEPs learn about science
- TV and Radio appearances on science programmes and chat shows.
An animal communication session introduced a series of workshops for secondary school students, working towards the composition and performance of a music piece based on language development in infants.
