The naked mole rat lives for up to 30 years. Similar sized rodents have a maximum lifespan of 3 years.

Title: Understanding the cancer resistance of the naked mole rat

Description: We are aiming to determine the fundamental mechanisms by which the long lived naked mole rat evades cancer. In particular we are looking at the idea of a cancer resistant extracellular matrix.
