About Us

Psychology is an experimental science that is concerned with the explanation of human and animal behaviour. It is a broad and rapidly-growing biological discipline, and Psychology at Newcastle reflects this breadth and rapid growth.

Our undergraduate course in single honours Psychology and range of joint and combined honours courses are in high demand - places are taken quickly - so make sure you apply in good time! We also warmly welcome applications from graduates wishing to join one of our many postgraduate programmes.

Our staff offer research programmes in Visual, Auditory and Sensory Neuroscience, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Motor Control, Psychology and Cognitive neurosciences, Psychiatric Neurosciences, Ageing, Neurodegeneration and Developmental Neuroscience, Neural Circuits and Neuroimaging, Neuropharmacology and Neurotechnology.
