Welcome to the QuILT website

The University's mission is to deliver teaching and facilitate learning of the highest quality. QuILT (Quality in Learning and Teaching) works with Faculties, Schools, individual staff and with student representatives to assure and enhance the quality of learning and teaching in order to improve the student learning experience at Newcastle. We offer advice and guidance as well as managing projects, events and services in a range of areas:

  • learning, teaching and assessment, including research degrees and higher level skills
  • the use of University supported e-learning tools
  • quality assurance of new and existing programmes
  • student engagement, including student representation and gathering of student opinion
  • external initiatives in learning and teaching, such as partnerships and development projects
