  • connect with other professionals working to improve the lives of children and youth. The centre's network of professionals from various disciplines are committed to improving the lives of children and youth.

Centre for Children and Youth Events

We host regular events centring around our strategic themes and working closely with some of our strategic partners.

You can find more information on our latest events, or book a free place on the link below

Supporting your events

The Centre for Children and Youth supports colleagues in hosting research-related events for children, young people and their families.

The centre can offer financial support covering:

  • catering and stationery
  • general advice
  • advertising and promotion
  • branding
  • registration form setup

For events expected to have 20+ attendees or last for two or more hours, the centre may be able to support Professional Services (PS), and a member of the PS team may attend the event for logistics and IT help.

For events involving children, young people and/or external organisations, the centre can offer mentorship, quality assurance and guidance on ethical protocol and consent.

For events that have the potential to impact policy, the team can help with links to potential policymakers and high-profile external speakers.

Adult working with young people

In return for its support, the Centre team asks that event materials be badged as centre activities and provide a summary of the event and the number of attendees.
