Maps and Directions
Please arrive on campus at least 60 minutes before your ceremony:
1. Register and collect your tickets* and certificate (ticket desk opens 90 minutes before your ceremony)
2. Collect your gown
3. Graduates should go to the Armstrong Building 30 minutes before the ceremony begins. Guests will be admitted to the hall 20 minutes before the ceremony begins.
Your ceremony will last approximately 45 minutes, with the exception of honorary ceremonies which can last up to 75 minutes.
Straight your ceremony:
4. Attend 45 minute reception in the Lindisfarne Room (Hadrian Building) for a complimentary drink, a graduate gift from the Alumni team, photo opportunities with a selfie pod, 360 video booth and decorative lights and back-drop and possibly presentations from your School.
During the day, either before or after your ceremony:
- Enjoy your time on campus! There are activities and/or stalls including:
- Grad Pop-up at the Student Forum & Boiler House. Includes flower bouquet stall, coffee cart, food truck, pop-up bar, NCL Sport merch stand, free photobooth and more!
- Visit your favourite spots round campus - plenty of photo opportunities with guests and family like at the Arches, in the Quad, Northern Stage lawn.
- Remember King's Gate is where you'll find the NUSU shop for NCL merch (including Percy the Lion!) and Start-Up stalls (including Dr. Juice and Lemon Rose live illustrator).
- Treat yourself to refreshments from any of the campus food and drink outlets, and mobile stalls in the Grad Pop-up area.
- Visit the professional photography studios. We recommend visiting the studios before your ceremony, especially for graduates in the 5.30pm ceremony.
Before you leave, return your gown
*Only graduates can collect tickets. Bring your Student ID (or other photographic ID)
