Aims
The module considers in depth various issues relating to the nature of money, demand and supply of money, money and economic activity, the role of the central bank.
Outline Of Syllabus
Introduction: the nature of money, the monetary economy and monetary measurement.
Supply and demand for money.
The transmission mechanism from money to aggregate demand.
The Central Bank.
The conduct of monetary policy.
