Course details
From May to October 2024, in a series of four in-person creative writing workshops led by Margaret Wilkinson, you will have the opportunity to continue what you started at Spring School: writing, developing and completing your short stories with detailed direction and feedback.
The course has been limited to six students for maximum consideration of each student’s work. The group itself, working together over this time, will offer the opportunity for an intense exchange of ideas and inspiration, as well as mutual support. Drafts will be circulated to all students to read ahead of the workshops, and after each workshop students will receive written feedback from Margaret. The workshops are being held on Saturday mornings from 10:00 to 12:00 and students must be able to attend all four workshops in person: 25.05.24, 22.06.24, 21.09.24, 26.10.24.

Margaret Wilkinson has been a senior lecturer on the MA in Creative Writing at Newcastle University for over fourteen years. She writes script for both stage and radio, is a prose writer, mentor and regular contributor to Mslexia. Margaret gained her PhD in Creative Writing at Newcastle University.
Please note a place on The Whole Story in 2024 can only be booked if you have booked a place on or taken Spring School in 2024.
