Emergency Contacts

Though we hope you won't need any of our emergency details, it’s important that you have them to hand. Information about where to find urgent or emergency help over the Winter Break can be found here.

On Campus Facilities

Many University facilities will close on Thursday 23 December and will reopen on Tuesday 4 January. This includes all teaching, research and central administrative buildings of the University, with the exception of the Security Office situated in the Barras Building. A number of student services will remain open, including including the Philip Robinson Library and the Sport Centre, subject to local arrangements. Please check the links below for further information and opening hours over the Winter Break:

Social Activities and Volunteering Opportunities

The University is collaborating with the Student's Union to provide lots of social activities for you to get involved in during the Winter. Meet other students staying in their term time accommodation too, join in with the activities or just join the events for a chat with a friendly face. More information on the social activities and volunteering opportunities are on the Winter 2021 Events and Activities page. There are also lots of activities and events taking place across the city and region that you may be interested in. A selection of these can be found on the Winter 2021 Local Events page.

Please Note that the email and the form will not be monitored between the 24th December 2021 - 3rd January 2022 inclusive.
