Finding Wonder, Focus and Calm Through Nature

Join us for a Blossom Sensory Walk on campus as part of the National Trust Blossom Festival 2025. This guided walk, led by artist Hazel Barron-Cooper, is a chance to slow down, connect with nature, and appreciate Spring on our beautiful campus.

We'll meet at the Arches, and as we wander through the quad area, we’ll take in the sights, sounds, and sensations of the blossoming trees. You’ll have the chance to:

  • Write down your thoughts, feelings, and conversations in a free sketch book
  • sketch or draw what inspires you
  • take photos of the blossoms
  • record birdsong

This event is part of Newcastle University's strategic partnership with the National Trust. Whether you’re joining us for some mindful reflection or to connect with others, this walk is an opportunity to appreciate the beautiful nature on our campus.
