Manor Bank is a sociable modern complex offering 238 self-catered en-suite rooms, with four foot beds, in flats of four to six bedrooms with shared lounge and kitchen.
For socialising there’s a great common room with flat-screen TV, pool table and comfortable seating and outside decking area with seating and ping pong table. This is a great place to get together with friends after a hard day studying. There’s also a study room for when you need some peace and quiet to revise.
Located in a popular student area to the East of the city and part of a larger student village (incorporating Liberty Central and Turner Court as part of the Portland Green Student Village), Manor Bank is ideally placed for all the city centre has to offer.
Access and safety
Accommodation is spread over 13 floors with three lifts, and entry-phone system. Our Security Service Team will look after you in your new home 24/7 and our Emergency Control Centre is manned 24/7 to help with any issues.
Manor Bank is a 15 minute walk from the campus, the city centre and train station, and a three minute walk to the Quayside, where you'll find a wide range of bars, restaurants and galleries.

Calls to this number will cost 10 pence a minute from a landline and considerably more from a mobile.
Manors Metro station is just around the corner from Manor Bank with Metro trains every five minutes during the day.
From Newcastle Central Station you can take a bus and taxis are also available.
Newcastle International Airport is about seven miles northwest of Newcastle University.
A taxi from the Airport will take about 20 minutes, costing approximately £15.
You can also travel by Metro (rapid transport system) to Manors which will take about 30 minutes and Manor Bank is a short walk away.

Manor Bank is one of our Managed Partnership residences, owned by Unite Students. The length and terms of contract differ to that of the University.
The contract is a fixed term period of 42 weeks (23 September 2017 to 14 July 2018) covering the academic year and an additional few weeks.
Rents are charged per week, so if your contract differs to the standard dates above (ie earlier arrival), you will incur additional accommodation charges.
All utility bills are included, WiFi is free and they also provide Personal Possessions Insurance via Endsleigh Insurance.
