Effect of aerobic exercise on cardiac function and movement in people with mitochondrial disease- Project Summary

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that aerobic exercise training is an effective approach to therapy in certain patients with mitochondrial disease. Based on our previous research studies, we believe that such training will improve muscle strength, mitochondrial function, exercise tolerance and overall quality of life. In this project we will be looking at the effects exercise has on the hearts of people with Mitochondrial disease.
