Children's Cancer North

Children’s Cancer North is a charity who aim to make life better for children with cancer.

Who are Children’s Cancer North?

Children’s Cancer North is a charity who aim to make life better for children with cancer. Life can be tough for these children and families, who face hours of grueling treatment, worry and isolation. The charity strives to make their lives better, by listening to their needs and providing appropriate support.

The charity focuses on three main areas:

  • investing in revolutionary research that takes place in Newcastle.
  • providing support for children and families undergoing treatment at the Great North Children’s Hospital.
  • raising awareness of childhood cancer.

We rely on the help of volunteers to make this happen.

What volunteering opportunities can I take part in?

Throughout the year, there are various volunteering opportunities. These include:

  • packing newsletters for our supporters
  • spreading the word about events
  • helping out at our events.

Our largest event is the Children’s Cancer Run. The charity fun run that takes place in Newcastle every May. This event raises hundreds of thousands of pounds each year and wouldn’t be possible without the help of around 300 volunteers.
