Synopsis of the research project

Start additional eHUBS in a new region (Dublin, IE) and in regions in transition / lagging behind (Inverness, UK and Wallonia, BE). Increasing large-scale uptake and use of the eHUBS by making available eHUBS in Mobility as a Service–apps by stimulating the use of the standardised information exchange (with the TOMP-API) between shared mobility providers and MaaSproviders. Support 29 additional replication cities with the blueprint. Newcastle university will continue to be involved to conduct additional research in the new pilot cities, as well as the regional approach in Wallonia (i.e., using eHUBS as a first-mile/last-mile alternative in suburban and rural areas) and the SOLVA-case (an intermunicipal organisation acting as a replication city / region, that set up a regional network of eHUBS in South-East Flanders). Insights gathered via research will be used to increase effectiveness of the eHUBS and to provide additional evidence related to the CO2 reduction.
