Who are we?
ImagiNE is a collaborative alliance uniting the Newcastle University, Northumbria University, Durham University, University of Sunderland and Teesside University, imaging facilities to promote shared infrastructure, training, and skills development for students, technical professionals, and early career researchers.
ImagiNE aligns with the Universities for North East England (UNEE) consortium, supporting its vision of strengthening regional collaboration and research excellence across the North East.
Our mission is to harness and integrate the region’s diverse imaging strengths, spanning molecular and preclinical imaging through to clinical technologies to build a cohesive and forward-looking imaging ecosystem.
Through this collaboration, ImagiNE seeks to:
- Advance research and technological innovation across all imaging modalities.
- Promote training, knowledge exchange, and skills development across disciplines and career stages.
- Enable cross-scale translation, linking preclinical discovery with clinical application.
- Align regional imaging strategy with national and international initiatives to maximise impact and visibility.
