The National Patient Recruitment Centre (PRC) programme is purpose-designed to increase the UK's capacity to deliver late-phase commercial clinical research.
NIHR PRC Newcastle supports researchers in Newcastle by providing our purpose built centre and experienced research team to support the set-up and delivery of commercial clinical research or commercial collaborations. In addition, we have experience of innovation in design and delivery of clinical trials such as our recent delivery of the RELIEVE IBS-D trial which was converted to a virtual trial at the onset of the COVID pandemic. We have a broad reach into local, regional and national populations through our research register Research+Me which facilitates rapid feasibility and recruitment to clinical research studies. Stage
Researchers should contact us as early as possible in the study design stages. In that way we can consider whether elements of the study can be carried out at locations remote to our site. We can also help develop recruitment strategies and ensure maximal efficiency in delivering commercial clinical research studies.
