Award-winning Mancunian showgirl Rivkala and her esteemed Newcastle band combine influences of jazz, funk, soul, and klezmer, with proactively playful social commentaries on gender, wealth inequality and mental health, under the warm glow of her beloved lamp Lucile at her imaginary cabaret bar, 'Crushed Velvet'.
