Hospitality and entertainment

With a huge range of cafes, bars and restaurants you are sure to find somewhere comfortable to enjoy your breaks, socialise and meet colleagues or friends. Our on site supermarket comes in very useful too!  

For an evening of entertainment Northern Stage offers the very best in theatrical performances and shows, not forgetting Hatton Gallery, Farrell Centre and Hancock Museum offering outstanding collections and visitor experiences, or take advantage of live music which can also enjoyed at King's Hall.

Sports and wellbeing

Newcastle University is home to a world-class sporting facilities that you can take full advantage of, with both indoor and outdoor facilities. In addition, take advantage of our complimentary health checks available to colleagues.

Extra support

We offer prayer rooms and nursing rooms to support you. There are also facilities such as showers. We have accessible buildings and provide bike sheds and onsite parking (though this can be busy during peak periods). 

Our libraries are available to all staff and students. 

You can also enjoy our beautiful estate and gardens.
