You can access in-person or online appointments, workshops and events via the MyCareer portal, plus:

  • Get help with job applications and writing your CV
  • Browse graduate jobs and internships made for you
  • Prepare for interviews and assessment centres
  • Explore your further study options
  • Gain overseas employment advice and guidance on applying for work visas
  • Develop enterprise skills and launch your own business

Graduated more than three years ago?

If you graduated more than three years ago, you can still access free career development resources and career masterclasses on YouTube from the Careers Service for as long as you need them. This includes:

  • Career planning in uncertain times
  • How to use LinkedIn to develop your career
  • How to nail your virtual job interview

Your alumni community is another rich resource to aid your career development. Join us each month for our Newcastle Develop webinars. These events see graduates from around the world sharing industry insights and their experience on hot topics. For example first-time management and taking a career break.

Plus, you can continue your professional learning with CPD opportunities and short courses from your university.

You can also gain expert careers advice from the government-funded National Careers Service. This service provides careers support for adults via email, telephone and online.
