Grow Volunteer is an on-campus green project which utilises campus growing spaces for plants, herbs, and bees! Several Grow Volunteer sessions are happening over break, take a look!
A Second Life is a creative upcycling project which takes old materials or items and gives them a new life! Several 'A Second Life' sessions are happening over break, take a look!

Did you know that you can access films through your university library? As a Newcastle University student you have access to Kanopy, an on-demand film streaming platform providing access to over 30,000 films, including classic and contemporary feature films, together with documentaries across a wide range of subject areas.

Many of the campus cafes and food outlets will remain open during the break, have a look below at opening hours and which locations are closed.

Support from Student Health and Wellbeing Services will continue to be available throughout the spring break period.
The only exception to this is that services will be closed on Friday 29 March and Monday 1 April for the Bank Holidays. During this time please refer to Wellbeing's information about urgent help and 24/7 support.
The Sports Centre will be closed on the following dates:
- Friday 29 March
- Monday 1 April
- Wednesday 10 April
- Thursday 11 April
The Sports Centre will be open for the rest of the spring break period, with a schedule of fitness classes available for members to join: Easter Group Fitness Schedule 2024
The Language Resource Centre will remain open throughout the spring break period, from 9am to 5pm. The only exception to this is that the LRC will be closed on 29 March and 1 April which are Bank Holidays.
The LRC has plenty of online resources you can access at any time, including films and series from around the world.
