Spring break

Spring break

The Library is here to support your studies whether you’re staying in Newcastle for the break, or venturing away from campus. Our buildings will be open (apart from Easter Sunday 17 April) for you to use our variety of study spaces, borrow and return items, and get help from Library staff. If you’re off campus, you can access online resources and get the help you need remotely.

Opening hours

The Library will be open throughout the vacation apart from Easter Sunday 17 April when all our buildings will be closed.

Help with assignments and assessments

We have a wealth of online resources available to you wherever you are studying. The best way to access these is through Library Search or your Subject Guide, as this ensures you are authenticated as a Newcastle University staff member or student. You can find our tips on how to search for e-books or e-journals on the Finding Information Online page on the Academic Skills Kit.

Special Collections - new exhibition

If you’re in Newcastle, why not pop along to the Philip Robinson Library and have a look at our latest Special Collections exhibition. Entitled 'Newcastle on Stage: Theatre in the North East' it showcases the history of theatre in Newcastle through the archives of three key local theatres; Northern Stage, Live Theatre and Open Clasp.
